abilities and experience

I’m a game artist living in Australia. I’ve studied digital art at RMIT Melbourne and have been working in the field of modding/hobby development in 2d since 1998, and began 3d art in 2004.

I am capable in most fields of 2d and 3d art, but the sole purpose of this blog is to demonstrate my abilities in current-generation 3d work.

I am capable in the fields of hardsurface, characters, and environment. I have a reputation for accuracy and thorough research. If you want a piece of military hardware made, I’ll make sure it looks just like it does “IRL”.

In early January 2010, I spent a 2 of weeks doing work placement at Wicked Witch software.

Since then I have been working with Art Bully Productions, contributing environment assets to the recently announced “The Darkness II”

As a hobby, am the sole artist working on Dicta Boelcke, a low-fi flight sim, along with my friend Hernan, who is programming the game inbetween studying his physics phD. This project is an example of my abilities in low-resolution work without utilising shaders and so on. In short, artwork appropriate for mobile or handheld devices and other inferior hardware.

I have started preliminary work for myself and Hernan’s first mobile title. We aim to release on android and iphone. Development has started less than one month ago, and information regarding that project should be available shortly.

I’m available to provide professional-grade commission/outsource work at acceptable prices. If you need some extra artistic muscle or that extra attention to detail on your project, feel free to contact me, harry -at- harrysite dot net. I am always looking for work.
